    teachers and technology tools

“Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important. “

    – Bill Gates

Many teachers and schools are worried by the amount of time students are spending using technology for socialising or entertainment rather than for school work. And with good reason. 17% of students spend their learning time with technology on off-task activities. Teachers are finding it extremely difficult to redirect students to on-task and relevant use of technology. The main issue is knowing in REAL TIME when they’re off-task and perhaps just as importantly, why they’re off-task and not engaged with their lessons.

With the right tools, teachers can access this information and use it to work with their students and motivate them to engage in their classroom lessons. By collecting the data on when they’re disengaged, what they’re doing with their learning time, and why, teachers can better plan and connect with their students, making the most of the limited teaching time they have.
